Hello Families!
Yesterday (Sunday), I sent Week 5 Distance Learning Opportunities Google Doc. I can't believe it's Week 5. I am still processing that we will not finish out the 4th grade year in person with your students. If you haven't heard, the Dept of Education Commissioner, with Gov. Janet Mills support, has suspended in-classroom learning for the remainder of this school year. Week 5 only seems like a blip when we will have to continue this way for 8 more weeks. At this time, we will be continuing the same format for sharing learning opportunities with your family. I find that those students who are participating are familiar with the routine now and I am in hopes that maybe some things are starting to get a little easier? I shared a virtual student meeting document with students and parents last week and I will re-share again in case you missed it. This is a Google Hangout/Meet with a few other students to talk about life, check in with mental health, and play a little game with me. It's 30 minutes and I'd love for it to continue after vacation. Virtual Student Meeting SignUP **Next week we will be on "vacation" from daily assignments. You will NOT receive a document or any assignments to do for April 20-24. I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and happy. As always, I thank you for your support and dedication to our kids. I miss them! Mrs. Deveau
